Rookie boy group TUNEXX brightened up Thursday night with bright tension and eloquence.
Tunex (Dong-gyu, In-hu, Tyra, Seong-jun, Jeon, Si-hwan, Arctic) appeared on the ‘I’ve Transferred School’ corner of MBC FM4U’s ‘Close Friend Broadcast Class’, which aired on the 26th.
Tunex, who filled the studio with bright tension that day, said about completing three weeks of music broadcast activities, "I learned a lot. Although it was a short period of time, I grew tremendously." Tunex shared what he learned, saying, “The environment is different from the usual practice room, so I have to be good at multi-tasking.” He also shared his regrets, saying, “There was time to talk to fans before pre-recording, but since it was my first time, I felt awkward and was upset because I couldn’t speak well.”
He then introduced his debut song ‘Proof that I’m Alive’ and said, “I felt that I was alive when I performed on stage or when I heard the fans cheering.” Regarding the title song, he said, “When I first heard it, I liked it because it had a lot of unique beats and I’ve always liked hip-hop.” He added, “When I first heard it, I felt that it was unusual, and I felt like we could make it work.”
Tunex also took time to answer questions from fans. To listeners who were curious about the group name and meaning, it was explained that “It contains the meaning of expanding one’s own territory by crossing boundaries rather than staying within a set framework,” and then revealed that ‘Daebak Boys’ was one of the candidates for the group name. Inhu, who joined late, drew attention by saying, "I joined 1-2 weeks before the music video was filmed. I didn't have much time to practice, so I was so busy that I don't even remember."
In the 'Banjjang' election, where the 'jangjang' of the team was selected, each Tunex's charm shone. Dong-gyu and Tyra aimed for ‘the best in cuteness’ with their unexpected charms, and Seong-jun, who claimed to be the ‘best in fashion’, received strong protests from the members and made them laugh. Throat, who eats an extraordinary amount of food, is called ‘Mukjjang’, Jeon, who does not like exercise, is ‘Jjang for lack of energy’, Sihwan, who likes cooking but sometimes has trouble seasoning his food, is ‘Jomjjang when it comes to my food’, and the youngest, Atik, is ‘Jjang in cuteness’ and made people smile with their special charm.
Meanwhile, Tunex, which recently successfully completed activities for its first mini album ‘SET BY US ONLY’, will continue to communicate with fans through various contents.
